I’ve been wondering what to write this week. Oh well.
The real reason I haven’t been updating is because I sketched out a new dnord.com on Tuesday while I was at training. (My brain could only absorb so much about .NET Remoting.) But whenever I have an idea for a new website, it makes me kind of feel like effort on the old site would be wasted. That’s obviously not the case (in fact, all comments and posts from here will show up there) but it’s totally like living in the past once you’ve seen the future.
I think, since a grand total of one of you has bothered to set up a Flickr account and befriend me, that I’ll find a way to bring photos back here inline with everything else. Maybe.
I’ve been influenced by the work being done at del.icio.us. I didn’t exactly get it first either, so don’t worry about it. But it’s pretty great.
I don't think I really need an API… since they expose the "recent photos" via RSS, I can compare what they have against what I have, and if it's new, just create a new entry with the photo and some fake title. I'd think, anyway.
If you really want a challenge, you could always design your blog to interface with the Flickr API. I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a .NET library out there already.
