So football was AWESOME today. (And I’m not talking about football picks, where I lost $335 to drop to $1410. Next week, children.)
No, Christie and I departed today at 10:30 for Metrodome, where we would watch the pro football craziness from the third row. It was amazing. As we sat down, the Titans were warming up, and we could hear what they were saying. When the game started, it was very clear how fast they go, and how hard they hit. Oddly, it also made everyone seem a little more human. They’re just guys out there. Incredible seats.
The Titans jumped on top first, scoring 10 points in the first quarter (in our end zone), but then Minnesota went on to score 28 unanswered in the second (so it was also in our end zone). The other end zone didn’t see a score until the fourth quarter, when Minnesota scored two touchdowns late to put Tennessee to bed.
We nearly passed out before the game, so overstimulated were we, but eventually we returned to earth. Christie actually got pretty serious when Minnesota went up, but that’s mostly just for show. I know she had an awesome time, too. :)
The guy who sold us our tickets apparently has four tickets in his season ticket package, because he was sitting next to us. He was pretty friendly, but Christie and I guess that he makes his living taking photos from the third row, getting them signed, and selling them on eBay. Not a bad line of work, esp. when you’re also selling tickets at a price that pays for yours.
He took a lot of photos of the cheerleaders, actually, who aren’t as fugly as they look on their website. That would be kinda creepy, but this guy sells signed photos, so it’s only about a 4.7 on the creepy Richter scale.
