Maybe it’s just my imagination, but people seem to be neglecting their web pages lately. Not like I’m trying to single anyone out, but I will say that the triumphant return of Crat’s personal page is most welcome, and will be reflected in my list o’ links on the side of the page sometime in the next 7-10 days.
Of course, I haven’t been quite as chatty lately, either. Astute observers may notice that I’ve put a temporary kibosh on football wagers, not because it isn’t fun, but because it’s really hard to make money when teams keep filp-flopping and suddenly sucking. I think something like 9 underdogs won two weeks ago. That’s not fun, that’s just crazy.
Speaking of just crazy, we talked to a dude about buying a house. The banks seem to think it isn’t an insane idea, but I have nagging doubts about it happening in six months. Ah well. Back in the day you had to come up with 20% for a down payment. That makes 3% plus closing costs not seem pretty small, but when you start thinking about how much money you can realistically save in six months (by not buying CDs or eating out so much), 3% starts to look big again.
I’m thinking about taking the ads off this page. Comments as always are welcome.
