The HBO series Six Feet Under had its series finale, and the message boards Monday morning were lit up with the discussion of two brief shots featuring an African woman holding a basketball. What symbolism! What an amazing way to end the season! Except that it was the unintended effect of an error at HBO, which was showing The Air Up There on another HBO channel. Hehehehe.
As shocked as I am that Aaliyah died in a plane crash over the weekend, it’s even more startling when you realize that Benno was nowhere near the Bahamas when the plane crashed.
The State Fair rocked, because we went at it with the attitude you’re supposed to have at the fair: well-funded, energetic, curious, and willing to stand in line for a while.
